So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. - Galatians 3:26-28
We have spent many hours in prayer concerning how we can work together as the body of Christ in not only reaching these refugee families with the Gospel, but seeing them united with brothers and sisters in Christ within the countries of their eventual resettlement. We long to encourage European churches to eagerly embrace and receive these new believers in an effort to continue their spiritual growth.
"The Precursor Project" is an effort to develop a communication network by which we can notify local churches of the arrival of believing or seeking refugees which have come through our ministries here in Athens. By "sending ahead" contact information for those who are resettling in various European countries, it will give these churches the opportunity reach out and hopefully integrate them into their fellowships.
We truly believe it is God's very hand that is moving these precious souls out of the darkest places on earth, into light and into the fellowship of faithful followers of Jesus who can truly influence and disciple these new "Christian refugees".
